Luckydog is hurting, no sectionals and very few, if any, new up-and-comers. any advice alumni might have for the captains might be good for the existence of the tradition?

1. Have a team meeting, pick captains for next year and make practice schedule, potential tournament schedule. 2. reserve a spot for main street this fall. 3. Stop being lazy. 4. Do some fundrasiers. (clean hockey arena, sell sweatshirts are two very easy ones)
If you need help with any of this I believe you have a sports club advisor that can help.
The new goal for Luckydog should be to have team at 2008 Sectionals.

ways we recruited when I played: 1. Booth at mainstreet (Many of us were recruited via the main st booth) 2. K-Lot pickup games (seriously, this is where we found Naz) 3. Fliers. Make some fliers with cool pics on them and all the necessary info, get them approved and put them on every fucking door and wall on campus. 4. If you see someone Disc Golfing or toss a disc around, tell them about the team.

I was recruited on Main st twice. Been recorded freestyling once.
Seriously tho, #3 is key. stop being lazy. be aggressive recruiting. Needs to be a team effort, everyone. look for tall guys. Throw a party. Parties honestly were the key for us.

Well I hope that the team doesn't die out. I can think of 2 or 3 guys including myself that would join the team. We all played back in high school every day in the summers. I think that's what you guys need, sounds like you're having problems recruiting. We didn't join b/c it was too much to think about coming in as freshman but now that i know the ropes of school it should be no problem to join next year.

Dylan, it is great to hear some interest and that people are checking out the website. The team is set up, just need some dedicated players wanting to do some travel and have some fun. Anyone looking at this forum with any interest to play or practice some Ultimate Frisbee you can call Jimmy at 218-205-4973. good day
PS for those interested in getting a taste of what Frisbee is like there will be an indoor tournament early in March at our dome in St. Cloud!

Definately get in touch with Jimmy. This team was formed in 1997 and this is the 1st year it fell apart. It should be easy to get it back up and running again as long as there are enough players interested.
FYI the indoor tourny in March was cancelled. Not enough teams registered.

What is left of Luckydog ultimate is taking beer pong to a new level in st. cloud MN. The semi-finals in the weekly DB Searle's tournament was had a luckydog ultimate component on 3 of the four remaining teams. BZ and Sergot, Naz and Keith and Me and Madison. Naz and Keith eat out BZ and Sergot in a two out of three 10 cup match, making the final cup in the third game. Ike and Madtown beat a teeny bopper couple that didn't hold anything back. Naz and Keith went on to win in the finals...up and running, more beer for luckydog!

Well just wondering if there will be any practices/games going on this spring. I'm confident that it won't be hard to get guys; including myself I can think of about 5 guys off the top of my head who will play and are all more than likely competitive enough to play at this kind of level. Too add to the beer pong note, one of the guys and myself are skilled in that field as well Whoever is in charge should give me an email thdy0601@stcloudstate.edu

I forwarded your message to Jimmy mcdonald who you should be able to find on facebook or search in scsu email. He'd probably be the guy to contact. Thanks for your interest, hope to get Luckydog up and running strong again.
